Mostly industrial and commercial premises, including the Highbrook business park, next to fast-growing residential neighbourhoods. Water pouring through a ceiling, sewage coming up the shower or no water at all is not something that can wait until Monday. Our emergency plumbers cover East Tāmaki around the clock.
Emergency plumbing for East Tāmaki businesses and homes
East Tāmaki is mostly factories, warehouses and offices, including the large Highbrook business park on the eastern shore of the Tāmaki River. A lot of our urgent work here starts first thing in the morning, when staff open up and find water across a floor from a fitting that failed overnight. Our priority is stopping the leak in a way that keeps the rest of the site running. Commercial premises often have several isolation points, so we look for the valve that serves only the affected area rather than shutting off the whole building.
We also keep the person in charge of the site informed. Many premises here are leased, and the landlord and tenant may each be responsible for different parts of the plumbing. We record what failed, where it was and what we did, so whoever is paying has clear notes to work from. If staff toilets, a lunchroom or a wash-down area are out of action, we aim to get them working again before the next shift where possible.
The ground under the district is volcanic, with basalt tuff and lava flows from the East Tāmaki volcanic area. If a buried service pipe across a yard or car park has failed, reaching it can mean breaking through hard material, so we may set up a temporary supply first and schedule the dig. The residential streets growing beside the business areas call on us too, usually for the same burst hoses and leaking cylinders found elsewhere.
Local tip: Keep a simple site plan showing where the water meter and main isolation valves are, so whoever opens up early can shut the supply quickly if they find a leak.

Emergency Plumber East Tāmaki FAQs
Can you isolate a leak in our East Tāmaki warehouse without shutting the whole site down?
Usually that is possible, because most commercial sites have more than one isolation valve, and we look for the one that serves only the leaking area so the rest of the building can keep operating while we repair it.
Is after-hours plumbing more expensive?
After-hours work can cost more than a weekday job. We tell you what the rate will be before we send anyone, so there are no surprises.
Will you fix it on the night or just make it safe?
Where we can, we fix it on the night. If a part needs ordering or the repair is large, we make everything safe and book the full repair at a time that suits you.
